Female UP member dies as sharee gets tangled with wheel in Sylhet

A female union parishad member of Osmaninagar upazila was killed on Monday evening as her sharee got tangled with the wheel of motorcycle on Tajpur-Balaganj road in Mollapara area.

The deceased was identified as Shipra Rani Dutta, 40, wife of Mohon Lala Dutta of Basia village in Usmanpur union and also a UP member of reserved 7,8,9 no wards.

Quoting the witnesses, assistant sub-inspector Rumi Akhter of Osmaninagar Police Station said Shipra’s sharee got tangled with the wheel while she was returning home riding on a motorcycle around 5 pm.

Later, she fell down from the bike and sustained critical injuries, police said.

The injured was rushed to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College where she succumbed to her injuries in the evening.
