PM Hasina reaches Suhrawardy Udyan

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the chief guest at the Awami League grand rally reached the historic Suhrawardy Udyan where she will address the people who have gathered there since this morning.

Hundreds of Awami League activists and supporters are gathered at the venue for the victory rally of the party. They have been coming to the venue from different parts of the city.

From around 10:00am, people with banners, festoons and placards gathered at the rally venue.

In Shahbagh, many of the roads around the area were experiencing heavy traffic due to the political gathering.

Meanwhile, law enforcers were deployed in large numbers near the venue in a bid to heighten security.

The ruling Awami League scheduled the rally to celebrate the party’s landslide victory in the December 30 general election.
