Man held for ‘raping’ 5yr old girl in Chapainawabganj

A 48-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a five-year-old girl in the Sadar Upazila on Friday.

The arrestee was identified as Mostafa alias Mosta, 48, son of Shetu Mandal of the upazila.

“Mostafa took the girl to a lemon orchard on Thursday afternoon and raped the girl,” said Kabir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.

The victim’s mother filed a case with sadar model police in the night. The victim has been sent to a hospital for medical tests.

Police raided the area early in this morning and arrested Mostafa.
