‘Bangladesh praised for hosting Rohingyas’

Brunei Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah acclaimed the Bangladesh government for hosting a big number of Rohingyas, said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

She said "Brunei Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah has lauded the role of Bangladesh government in addressing the plight of the Rohingyas who have fled to Bangladesh from Rakhine State in Myanmar."

"He [Haji Hassanal Bolkiah] admired our nation’s compassionate response in this regard and he put emphasis on just and permanent solution to the Rohingya crisis," she added.

The PM made the remarks while addressing a press conference to brief the media about her just-concluded bilateral official visit to Brunei Darussalam.

The press conference began at 4 pm today at her official Ganabhaban residence.
