Filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki’s much-talked-about film ‘Doob’ (No Bed of Roses) will be released on October 27.
Owner of Jaaz Multimedia, Abdul Aziz said the film will be released in Bangladesh and India at once on October 27 this year.
‘Indian actor Irfan Khan will visit Dhaka on October 25 as part of the campaign while he will take part in the campaign of the film’s release,’ Abdul Aziz said.
The film will be released in 100 cinema halls in Bangladesh and in 200 halls in India.
Bollywood Actor Irrfan Khan will be seen to share the screen with noted Bangladeshi actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha while Rokeya Prachy and Parno Mittra later joined the film in a supporting role.
The film was written and directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki while it was produced by Himanshu Dhanuka, Abdul Aziz and Irrfan Khan under the banner of Eskay Movies and Jaaz Multimedia along with Irrfan Khan Films.
The film bagged an independent jury award at the 39th Moscow International Film Festival while it was nominated for the Golden Goblet Awards in Shanghai International Film Festival.
Meanwhile, the producers also decided to go for a limited release on September 15, which would make the film qualified for submission under the foreign language category at the Academy Awards.
