The Directorate of Government Accommodation (DOGA) has switched to online to issue no objection certificate (NOC) for the accommodation of government employees.

Now, the government employees would collect the NOC through online application, as Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain opened the service today by issuing NOCs to three employees at a ceremony at his ministry auditorium that organized to mark International Public Service Day.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the main focus of the public administration is to provide service to people, but irregularities take place when the public administration deviated from this job.

He hoped the automation process would ease the procedure and give the government employees release from hassle in collecting NOC after retirement.

In the automated system, government employee could apply on online by collecting receipt of rent for accommodation. Later, he or she would receive a confirmation SMS after the application or get SMS for submission of additional documents if any shortfall, and finally could know the date of collecting NOC through SMS.

A government employee has to collect NOC to get pension if they use government accommodation.

With Housing and public works secretary M Shahid Ullah Khandker in the chair, additional secretary M Bazlul Karim Chowdhury spoke on the occasion.
