'Sultan Mela' begins in Narail

A seven-day ‘Sultan Mela’ in memory of the 92nd birth anniversary of celebrated artist SM Sultan began Monday in front of Sultan Mancha on the premises of Narail Government Victoria College.

SM Sultan Foundation in association with the district administration organised the fair to mark the birth anniversary of the renowned artist. The fair will continue until 21 January.

Deputy speaker Fazle Rabbi Miah inaugurated the fair as the chief guest this afternoon with deputy commissioner and president of Sultan Foundation Helal Mahmud Sharif in the chair.

A total of 100 stalls with traditional textile and cottage industry products set up for sale in the fair.
