85 more arrested in Jhenidah raid

Police arrested 85 more people in a special raid from different parts of the district on Tuesday.

Azbahar Ali Sheikh, additional superintendent of police, said police conducted a raid in different places of six upazilas in the district from Monday night to Tuesday morning and arrested them on various charges.

Among the arrestees, there were five Jamaat men and one Shibir activist, he added.

All of the arrestees were accused in a number of cases filed with different police stations, the ASP said.
