Ranbir Kapoor is emerging as the prominent star in the next generation of actors, following much into the footsteps of his grandfather, uncles and father. The actor is known for his on-screen performances and off-screen romantic relationships.

Ranbir has had relationships with actresses before with Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif.

The latest person he is being linked with is the Pakistani beauty, Mahira Khan.

Mahira left quite a mark with her debut Bollywood film ‘Raees’, but left for her homeland soon after. However, the fans of the two actors just can’t stop talking about them together.

There are rumours that Ranbir first met Mahira at a party abroad. Apparently, his ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ co-star Fawad Khan introduced him to the 'Raees' actress, who was also friends with her as the two worked together for the Pakistani TV show ‘Humsafar’. It is rumoured that the two hit it off very well quite instantly and got along like a house on fire. After all this, the Indian and Pakistani star reportedly decided to stay in touch after their brief meeting.

Crackling chemistry in pictures

Ranbir and Mahira attended an event in Dubai. The event which was held in March this year saw the two actors pose together on the red carpet. However, the two looked really well together in photographs and were also super cordial with each other. This set tongues wagging that maybe something is cooking between the two off-screen. But these suspicions became even stronger and cemented after what came next.

At the backstage of this very same event, there surfaced a video which became instantly viral. In the short clip that surfaced Ranbir and Mahira can be seen in what looks like an animated conversation. Of course, those who are rooting for the two to get together wasted no time in calling it a lover’s tiff. However, some rational minded people argued that maybe it was just an animated conversation or a rehearsal of some sort. Be as it may, this video has definitely piqued everyone’s curiosity.

While the paparazzi seem eager to pair up the two, Ranbir and Mahira have stoically maintained that they are happily single. Mahira had even posted a cheeky Instagram post in July, which many thought was a reply to the rumours of her dating Ranbir. The ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ actor also maintained that they are just good friends. However, an undisclosed friend of the actor allegedly revealed that their relationship is a work in progress. This friend also claimed that Ranbir speaks very highly of her and that their friendship is budding into something more.

This brings us to the latest update on the matter. Lately, pictures of Ranbir and Mahira surfaced online where the two were spotted together in New York. The actors were seen catching a smoke together, with Mahira sizzling in a backless dress and Ranbir in his Sanjay Dutt biopic look. These pictures have become super viral and many are now certain that there is certainly something brewing between the two. It remains to be seen if there will be any official clarifications from either party on this matter or not.
